CONSUMERS REPRESENT THE DEMAND SIDE OF ECONOMICS AND PROVIDERS REPRESENT THE SUPPLY SIDE.
When the consumer demand exceeds the suppliers ability or willingness to satisfy that demand then prices will rise, conversely when suppliers output exceeds consumer demand then prices will fall, however when speculators enter the market then the basics of demand and supply are exploited to the benefit of the speculators.
Let us take the present situation where producers of energy producing raw materials such as oil and coal are unable to produce sufficient supplies to meet current demand. In this situation obviously excessive demand will drive the prices to higher levels.
THIS UNFORTUNATE SCENARIO WILL AFFECT ALL INDUSTRIES, MANUFACTURERS, FARMERS, PRODUCERS OF ELECTRICITY, AND PEOPLE WHO USE MOTOR VEHICLES. THIS SITUATION CAN BE AGGRAVATED BY GREEDY OIL AND COAL PRODUCERS WHO DELIBERATELY PRODUCE INSUFFICIENT OIL AND COAL TO MEET DEMAND. THIS SCENARIO ARTIFICIALLY CREATES AN IMBALANCE BETWEEN SUPPLY AND DEMAND WHICH LEAVES THE CONSUMER WITH NO ALTERNATIVE BUT TO PAY THE HIGHER PRICE DEMANDED BY THE PRODUCER.
Oil driven increases impact on food production and delivery of their products to their markets by farmers, manufacturing of goods by manufacturers, distribution of goods by transporters, daily personal use of motor vehicles by ordinary people who travel to and from work et cetera.

1. Arable land must be identified worldwide and productively used by dedicated farmers to adequately provide for the food needs of the people.
2. Governments must ensure that farmers maximise the use of their land for the production of food and not for the production of energy. There are poor people in our world who are dying of starvation and others are suffering from diseases attributable to inadequate nourishment.
3.FOOD IS OUR PRESENT PRIORITY. BIO FUEL IS CURRENTLY PRODUCED BY USING FOOD FOR THE MANUFACTURE THEREOF. THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE WHEN PEOPLE ARE MALNOURISHED AND DYING BECAUSE OF THE LACK OF FOOD.
4.THE FEAR OF GLOBAL WARMING IS REAL AND MUST BE ADDRESSED URGENTLY. Fuel that produces carbon and methane emissions must be replaced as a matter of urgency by other cleaner forms of energy. Failure to do so immediately will have dire consequences upon all inhabitants of mother earth.
